BUDDING dancers from Southampton will get the chance to perform in front of full house when they take to the stage at The Mayflower tonight.

Lucky students from Totton College and Wildern School have been training with the dance company New Adventures, set up by director Matthew Bourne.

The youngsters will perform in front of a packed audience in a curtain-raiser to the final night of Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake at The Mayflower Theatre.

The students have spent this week in training at a four-day creation workshop being held by professional dancers Kerry Biggin and Kate Lyons, who is also originally from Southampton.

Matthew said: “I am thrilled to be bringing our ground-breaking curtain raiser programme to Southampton and to be working in partnership with NACE. Curtain Raisers are an opportunity to inspire young people with a passion for dance in front of a huge audience and I am delighted the partnership with Re:Bourne, NACE, the college and the school has been made possible.”
