Watford’s 14-match winless run away from home could be set to end as they lead Sheffield Wednesday 2-0 at half time.

The Hornets took the lead five minutes into the contest when Matias Ranegie headed Daniel Tozser’s free kick at goal and after Chris Kirkland saved, Gabriele Angella bundled in.

Sheffield Wednesday had several efforts at goal and Manuel Almunia made a couple of good saves.

But it was the visitors who grabbed the next goal midway through the half when Daniel Pudil picked out Lewis McGugan and he headed in eight yards from goal.
