It is looking unlikely that Watford will be able to secure a Championship play-off spot but should the Hornets sneak in, the first legs of the semi-finals will be played on May 8 and May 9.

The Football League have today confirmed the play-off dates and the first leg of the first semi-final sees the side who finishes in third place take on the club that secures sixth spot on Thursday, May 8 with a 7.45pm kick-off.

The second leg between the two teams will be played on Sunday, May 11 with a 5.15pm kick-off.

The first leg of the second semi-final will be held on Friday, May 9 (7.45pm kick-off) and sees the fourth and fifth placed sides meet.

The second leg takes place on Monday, May 12, again with a 7.45pm kick off.

The Championship play-off final at Wembley Stadium will be held on Saturday May 24. No kick-off time has been announced.
