Hornets top scorer Troy Deeney has been nominated for the Championship player of the month award for March.

The 25-year-old netted six goals in six matches last month and bagged braces in the victories against Blackpool and Sheffield Wednesday.

Deeney’s double against the Owls on Saturday saw him become the first Hornets player since Luther Blissett to score 20 goals in consecutive seasons.

Also nominated for the award is Ipswich Town centre-back Christophe Berra, AFC Bournemouth full-back Simon Francis and Ravel Morrison, who is on loan at Queens Park Rangers from West Ham United.

The winner of the award will be announced tomorrow.

Oh no! Deeney should win this one...just praying his goals don't dry up. Hoping for great season end. Would be nice if we could frighten a few of the teams in front of us and secure top 10 finish. Luv the Horns!

I do hate to be a stickler but Deeney will not be breaking Holton's longstanding record. Of the 20 goals he scored last season 19 were in the league and 1 was in the playoffs. He will get 2 twenty goal season in all comp. but not in league play im afraid- am I wrong or just sad?

Anyhew- Starting line up for Saturday anyone? Is Fessi back? Really want to see the Forrest of Dean standing tall again. That's not to say the Renegade has not done well (seems to have some chemistry with Troy) But I believe our strongest starting line-up is with those two up front.

BTW What a game from Lewis McGugan on the Weekend. That should have shut his doubters up! 10 Goals from midfield is no mean feat and he showed on Sat that he is handy on the assist too. I knew he'd be a goodun!

Victories against Burnley and Leeds and why on Earth cant we grab that 6th spot at the death?

COYHS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wonderful team player and great appetite for work as we reach a critical point in the season.

I wouldn't mind bringing back Danny Graham but I think Sordell is on the slippery slope into lower league football.
