Vote for Watford's man-of-the-match against Burnley

Watford Observer: On his knees in celebration: Troy Deeney after scoring yesterday. Picture: Holly Cant On his knees in celebration: Troy Deeney after scoring yesterday. Picture: Holly Cant

It was a good all-round performance that arguably deserved more than a point but who was your stand-out performer in Watford's 1-1 draw against promotion-chasing Burnley?

Troy Deeney started a fine all-round showing by scoring a fine goal to reach 20 league efforts for the season, while Manuel Almunia may have been beaten late on but was an assured presence in goal and made one top-drawer save to keep out a Ben Mee effort.

Daniel Pudil continued his fine run of form at left wing-back and alongside him, Lewis McGugan also produced a positive showing and but for one critical intervention from Chris Baird, would almost certainly have scored.

Those are our four selections but whether you agree with one of those or think another player should win, have your say below.

Almunia looked solid and gets my vote this week because he made no punched clearances

Troy has his tail up and goals give confidence. Nice to see that Manu did not punch too much. Manu drops clangers but still makes great saves.

Most of the crosses were "hung up" yesterday as oppsed to "whipped in" by Blackburn. Made hisjob far easier yesterday, still played well though.

Blackburn? I suppose its in Lancs. His handling was superb. I though Angella was M.O.M AND stood out head and shoulders above his fellow defenders. We need another decent centre half to partner him. Cassetti exposed yet again. It was a real shame that Battochio got clattered, he gives us real impetus in midfield. McGugan was immense in the first half. Shame the season coming to an end as we have some momentum, just hope we can hit the ground running next season.
