There was a disappointing defeat for Vicarage Celtic as they crashed out of the Junior Charity Cup after a 4-1 defeat to Balmoral Grove.
Celtic made a bright start to the game and Ashley Toomey came close as his corner struck the crossbar.
However, Balmoral scored twice in quick succession to open up a two-goal lead at the interval.
Vicarage Celtic attacked from the restart and a fine run and cross from Jamie Gallagher was almost turned in by Connor Flanagan. Another chance fell to Trafford Nolan but he failed to hit the target.
With the Celts pushing forward, they were twice exposed on the counter attack as Balmoral added their third and fourth goals.
Celtic’s best move of the match produced their goal as Flanagan struck but it was nothing more than a consolation.
