Ian Holloway laughed off the altercation with Beppe Sannino on Saturday evening; querying whether his dad had ever visited Italy after questioning if the Watford head coach was his long-lost twin.

Holloway and Sannino appeared to clash at the end of the 2-2 draw but the former Crystal Palace manager initially refused to answer a question about the incident before replying in a jovial manner.

Holloway said: "They [Watford's coaching staff] thought I was running at their bloke who’s my lookalike. He’s a long lost twin or something isn’t he? It’s going to be [animated]; he’s Italian and I’m from Bristol.

"I’m trying to think if my dad ever went to Italy or his dad ever came over," joked Holloway.

"I thought he looked really suave and sophisticated and other people probably thought, 'If he looks like Ian Holloway, God help him."

Holloway praised Millwall's battling spirit after they boosted their chances of beating the drop to League 1 with an equaliser in the fifth minute of injury-time.

The draw means the Lions have now taken eight points from the last 12 available and Holloway said: "I’m just disappointed that we haven’t got another two points. But what can I say? Beggars can’t be choosers.

"The great thing about this club is that they never go under easy; it’s always with a passion and I think they’re very proud of their players at the moment. I would be if I was them and I am at the moment."

- Below is audio from part of Holloway's press conference. Newspapers publishing audio from press conferences is at the discretion of clubs due to Dataco's regulations and Millwall requested that part of Holloway's press conference was removed.

... but we also own the side that beat Barcelona last night, so we'll just sign a few of them! It'll all work out...
