A trip to Carrow Road to face Norwich City, managed by former Hornet Ron Saunders, was the final game of Watford's first ever season in the second division.
This game was to be Watford's 13th draw of the season, a Stewart Scullion strike on his 24th birthday enough to confirm the Hornets' survival.
