Rickmansworth's first XI began their season with a three-wicket friendly victory over Ickenham on Saturday.

Ickenham were dismissed for 138 with Callum Cusack taking six for 21 from four overs.

Wicketkeeper Marty Jaynes also impressed, taking a record six catches from behind the stumps.

In response the Rickmansworth batting line-up fell to pieces early on, scoring just 32 for seven.

However, a partnership of 107 off of 42 balls from Majid Khan and Ash Shah was enough to rescue Ricky, who won with 139 for seven.

The second XI also overcame a slow start, beating Ickenham by four wickets.

Ickenham were bowled out for 112, with Tom Watson taking three for 12 and only three Ickenham players hitting double figures.

An unconvincing start of 21 for three was gradually built upon with Kamran Shah (33) and Mohammed Usman (18) getting Rickmansworth back on track before Marc Robinson and Andy Bird finished the job.

Rickmansworth's third XI were beaten by Ickenham, losing by 70 runs.

Ickenham posted a target of 177 for nine, with Paul Blackwell's four for 22 restricting that score.

Blackwell top-scorer for Ricky with 23 but Rickmansworth were bowled out for 109.
