Watford will have to upset the odds this weekend if they are to pull off a win at promotion contenders Derby County.

Steve McLaren’s side effectively only need a point, due to their superior goal difference, from the last two games to secure third place in the play-offs.

The Rams come into this match on the back of four consecutive wins and have also picked up four victories in a row at Pride Park. This form suggests Derby look more than a fair price at evens with Paddy Power to win tomorrow (Saturday).

County have also won four of the last five home games against the Hornets and can be fancied to continue this record. But Beppe Sannino’s side have scored in their last 11 matches so taking 27/10 with Coral on Derby winning with both teams finding the net looks generous.

The Hornets are available to win at 14/5 with Ladbrokes but this would require a leap of faith considering Watford have only won once away since October.

Lewis McGugan has scored four goals in his last five starts and also netted against Derby in the defeat back in October. The Watford midfielder looks well worth backing to score anytime at a tempting 4/1 with Betfred.
