Watford drew 1-1 with Manchester United at Vicarage Road, the goals scored by Luther Blissett, returning after a long injury-enforced absence, and Mark Hughes on the last appearance of his first spell with the visitors before his summer move to Barcelona.
The game was the last played in front of the Shrodells Stand on the west side of the ground, which was demolished over the summer and replaced with the two-tiered Rous Stand.
