South Oxhey boxer Reece Bellotti was unable to make it three consecutive national ABA victories as he was beaten by Lucien Reid in the 56kg semi-final on Saturday.

Bellotti, who fights out of South Oxhey ABC, was Amateur Boxing Association of England’s Elite champion at 57kg last year and won the 54kg title in 2012.

However, the former Bushey Meads pupil was unable to secure a third victory.

He faced off against West Ham ABC’s Reid in the last four but lost on a split points decision against the east London fighter. Reid was beaten in the final by Qais Ashfaq of Burmantofts ABC.
