There was a first and second place finish for Little Hay Ladies in the national Mary Forster Bowl competition.

Held as part of the National Association of Public golf courses tournament, the Mary Forster Bowl is for teams of three ladies from 30 clubs from across the country.

The winning Little Hay side were Dorcas Kindinger, Clare Stammeijer and Pauline Manning who finished on 99 stableford points.

Runners-up with 96 points were Jacky Pearson, Elaine Meagher and Linda Reeve.

In the May men’s medal, Ashley Wade finished first on 71 points in Division One while Division Two was won by David Smith with 69 points.

In the ladies’ medal, junior Emma Shepherd sealed top spot with 67.
