It was a disappointing weekend for THM Racing in the Milltek Sport Volkswagen Racing Cup at Rockingham Speedway.
The Watford team and Hemel Hempstead-based driver Matt Hamilton were left frustrated by several mechanical issues over the course of the event.
In qualifying, a small problem with the engine cooling system meant the car was down on power and Hamilton could only secure 13th place with a time of 1.37.90.
Hamilton was bumped up to 12th on race day but it was a race to forget as he was forced to retire following contact with another driver.
In the second race, Hamilton started at the back of the 33-car grid. A failed drive shaft restricted his progress but he eventually finished in 21st position.
