Bedmond Sports and Social Club opened up a four-point lead at the top of the Premier Division with a 2-1 victory over Bushey Sports Club on Tuesday.

The result means Bedmond have strengthened their place at the top of the table and are on 64 points. They lead second placed Whitwell by four points and have a game in hand over the side.

Belstone occupy third spot and have two games in hand on Bedmond but are seven points behind.

Whitwell showed why they are challenging at the top of the table on Saturday as they thumped Sarratt 9-1.

Charlie Gould (3), Liam Brooks (2), Dean Hutchinson, Wayne Mollooly, Tom Wilshere and Ricky Young netted in the rout. Mark Shanahan grabbed the Sarratt consolation.

Bovingdon let a two-goal lead slip at Knebworth to draw 3-3 as goals from Dean Auburn, Dan Carroll and Tom Oram secured a point for the hosts.

In Division One, Evergreen continue to move up the table after they sealed back-to-back victories.

The side recorded a 6-4 win against Lemsford on Monday and overcame Hertford Heath 2-0 on Saturday thanks to a brace from Chris Blunden.

Fourth placed Bushey Rangers suffered a disappointing 3-1 defeat against Cheshunt Ambers.

David Taylor netted to put Bushey ahead at the interval but Ambers hit back in the second period and strikes from Dan Smith, Jacob Colbouurne and Ross Paterson secured victory for the hosts.

Old Parmiterians recorded a 3-2 win over Welwyn Garden City Reserves thanks to a Josh Towle brace and a single from Mark Hansard. Mark Draper and Paul Taylor replied for City.
