A visit to Anfield provided a dramatic end to the 1994/95 season.
The Hornets were 2-0 up at half-time thanks to a Jim Beglin own goal and one from Colin West. A disputed John Wark penalty, a brace from Ian Rush and one from Kenny Dalglish reversed the deficit as Liverpool roared back in the second half, but a John Barnes free-kick precipitated a furious closing spell at the end of which the home side had hung on to a 4-3 scoreline.
