IT’S a family affair for the cast of Caramba’s Revenge, as three relatives all take to the stage with Blackburn Arts Club this week.

The William Norfolk play sees Therese Ball return to the director’s chair – after producing Calendar Girls last year, for which the club recently received two NODA North West award nominations.

Sisters Rachel and Sarah Nolan are joined by mum Pauline in the comedy, with Charlotte O’Connell, Neely Jillings, Anne Starks and Tom Haworth completing the cast.

Caramba’s Revenge is described as a ‘highly entertaining and ingenious black comedy’.

It tells the story of four elderly ladies who operate a ‘geriatric co-operative’ living together and pooling their pensions.

An arts club spokesman said: “When one comes to an untimely end, the others omit to tell the powers-that-be, which looks like a recipe for success until her granddaughter arrives from Australia looking for her.”

Caramba’s Revenge runs at the Gibraltar Street Arts Club from tonight until Saturday, 7.30pm.
