Hundreds of walkers enjoyed a sunny Sunday stroll alongside the Thames for the 22nd towpath trundle in aid of Princess Alice Hospice.

Supporters of all ages took part in the sponsored walk on Sunday, May 18, to raise funds for the Esher hospice, with the 3rd Molesey scout group marching band sending walkers on their way.

Getting into the spirit of the day, fundraisers dressed as Spiderman, Little Bo Peep and Disney’s The Fox and the Hound also made an appearance.

While walkers embarked on their riverside journey, families enjoyed a day of fun at Sadlers Ride, with stalls and face painting among the delights on offer.

Tim Green, community and events fundraising officer, said: “It was a really great day and the beautiful weather made it even better. Families were able to have an enjoyable day out whilst helping us to raise money for the hospice.

“I’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who came and took part in the trundle; your support will help make a real difference to our patients and families.”
