Bedmond Sports and Social Club secured the Premier Division title with an emphatic 10-1 win over Letchworth Garden City Eagles on Saturday.

Victory means Bedmond maintain their four-point lead over second-place Belstone with one game remaining and therefore cannot be caught.

Gary Sippetts lead the way with four goals, whilst Aaron Lewis (3), Toby Ashcroft, Dan Campbell and Lee Taylor were also on target in the rout.

Belstone’s title hopes ended on Wednesday when they were beaten 6-3 at Bush Hill Rangers in their penultimate fixture of the season.

Darren Turner scored twice and Laurence Yaku added another consolation strike for Belstone.

Belstone had been victorious on Saturday, winning 5-2 at home to Chipperfield Corinthians.

Turner helped himself to a hat-trick, with Joe O’Brien and Chris Ingham the other Belstone scorers.

Adrian Abramian and Matt Chapman got Chipperfield’s goals.

Belstone kept up the pace on last Thursday of last week, winning 3-2 at Wormley Rovers.

Lewis Putman and Darren Turner (2) scored for Belstone, with Luke Robinson bagging a brace for Wormley.

Elsewhere in the Premier Division, Bovingdon were thumped 7-1 at home to Standon and Puckeridge.

Louis Rae got Bovingdon’s solitary goal.

In Division One, Evergreen were 4-1 winners at Hatfield Social.

Sean Sawyer got Hatfield’s goal with Evergreen 2-0 up at half-time.

Last Thursday Evergreen were 8-0 victors against Harvesters 2012.

Curtis Donaldson helped himself to a treble, with Chris Blunden (2), Bradley Joyce, Asher Alleyne and George Preece all netting too.

Bushey Rangers won at Kimpton Rovers by the odd goal in five on Saturday.

Alex Connolly, Michael Carroll and Craig Ellis got the Bushey goals, with Ashley Wadhams and Simon Chipperfield scoring for Kimpton.

Old Parmiterians were crushed 4-1 at home to Buntingford Town.

Luke Smith (2), Louis Gilbert and Lewis Fitzgerald scored for the visitors, whilst Sam Clarke netted for Parmiterians.
