Watford's Supporter's Club was inaugurated at Vicarage Road.
That week's Watford Observer noted that; "...for something like three hundred people to assemble on the Watford football ground in weather such as that which prevailed on Wednesday indicates well for the support likely to accrue from the formation of the Supporters Club, established to ensure the continuation of first class football and relieve Watford Football Club of its critical financial position".
