    These are my 8...
Jimmy Walsh - how soon we forget. Named as sub twice in GT's first season.

Ellington - good choice - f/expensive in fee and salary and the laziest s** in our history - but this prolific forward did score 5 in only 51 games. Just not quite the full shilling in any week with a Saturday in it."

Watford fans are being asked to vote on which Hornets greats should be included in a legends banner which will be displayed at Vicarage Road.

Supporters group The 1881 are creating a 25m by 15m banner which will display Graham Taylor and eight of the club's greatest players.

The poll will include a shortlist of 49 players and is expected to be on the group's website www.the1881.com by 9am tomorrow morning.

The voting is scheduled to take place until early July and the banner should be ready in August or September.

The group are also encouraging fans to join them at the Watford Ladies versus Millwall Lionesses game at Berkhamsted Town on Sunday, July 6.

Who would make your eight-man shortlist? Leave a comment below and then cast your vote here from tomorrow. The 1881 stressed the need to read their accompanying post before voting.
