Watford say their new away kit – which will be black and white – will be used to help remember the 12 amateur and professional first-team players who served their country in World War One.
The Hornets will be donating £1 from the sale of each second strip to the Royal British Legion, with adult shirts costing £40 and children’s £30.
It is 100 years since the Great War and it is also a century since Watford wore a black and white shirt for the first time.
The Golden Boys have yet to reveal what the new away kit will look like but could do so as early as tomorrow via their website. The in-store launch will be on Friday, June 20.

The 12 Watford players who served in the First World War, which took place between 1914 and 1918, were:
- George Badenoch – Canadian Infantry
- Harold Bulling – The King’s (Liverpool Regiment)
- Jimmy Chalmers – Royal Scots Fusiliers
- Albert Green – Hertfordshire Yeomanry
- Owen Gregory – Grenadier Guards
- Ernie Grimsdell – Life Guards
- Bill Hastings – Royal Flying Corps
- Bill Markland – Hertfordshire Regiment
- Robert McGuire – (regiment unknown)
- Joe McLauchlan – Middlesex Regiment
- Alex Stewart – Middlesex Regiment
- Skilly Williams – Norfolk Regiment
