Watford will be one of 18 seeds in the southern section of the Capital One Cup first round draw and there is a small chance the Hornets could end up facing rivals Luton Town.

The competition is split regionally north and south in the first round, with seedings determined by the final league positions of the clubs.

The draw takes place next Tuesday and Beppe Sannino's men have a one in 18 chance of facing old rivals Luton in the first round with the same odds of securing a ‘local’ clash against either Stevenage or Wycombe Wanderers.

Should the Hornets be drawn away, the furthest they may have to travel is Plymouth Argyle.

The outcome of the first round draw will be announced at 10am next Tuesday, the day before the new Football League fixtures are announced.
