Watford’s pre-season friendly against Stevenage has been cancelled after the Hornets were drawn against Graham Westley’s side in the Capital One Cup first round.

The two teams were set to face each other in a warm-up match at Broadhall Way on July 19 but that fixture has been scrapped.

Supporters who purchased tickets for the friendly are able to get a refund at the point of sale.

Watford’s first round tie against Stevenage will be played on the week beginning Monday, August 11.

Why cancel it...capital one cup is a pointless competition that nearly all teams put weak sides out...this cup gives teams extra games they don't need...

Only sad Luton Town care about such completions with their sad group of fans...u beleive they are a good team.
