Evergreen held their annual six-a-side tournament on Sunday, winning four of the seven cup finals in which they were involved.

Held at the club’s South Way Ground, 138 teams entered the tournament, with the hosts enjoying unprecedented levels of success.

The Under-14 Evergreen Juniors B boys side required penalties to overcome Herons Youth A, emerging 4-2 winners from the spot.

In the Under-13 girls cup competition, Evergreen’s B team beat the club’s A side 1-0.

Evergreen Youth boys defeated Kodak Red 1-0 in the Under-13 plate final.

There were two losses for the Under-12 boys, with Evergreen Green going down 2-1 to Barnet Azzurri in the cup final and Evergreen White losing 2-0 to Chorleywood Lightening in the plate.

At Under-9 boys level, Evergreen Youth overcame Boreham Wood Crusaders 1-0 in the cup tournament.

In the plate competition, Evergreen Colts B were beaten 2-0 by Bovingdon Lightening.

The win for the Evergreen Youth Under-9s capped a good season for the team, having recently won the Sun Postal Youth five-a-side tournament.
