St Paul's Church of England VA Primary School in Chipperfield have won the netball competition at the Herts School Games at Wodston Park, representing Dacorum.
A 6-4 win over Hatfield school Gardenfields in the final secured the win for St Paul’s, who continued a record-breaking season by helping Dacorum win the competition for the first time.
Defeat in the group opener against Christchurch School of North Hertfordshire was quickly forgotten as St Paul’s swept aside Ralf Sadlier 2-1, Cunningham Hill 4-1 and William Ransome 5-2 before drawing their final pool game against St Andrews 4-4.
A 4-2 win over Chalore Shalom of Hertsmere in the semi-final was enought to seal St Paul’s progression to the final, where they beat Gardenfields to lift Dacorum’s first Herts School Games title in the sport.
