Kings Langley Ladies came third on their debut at the Sandy Ladies seven-a-side tournament.
A 1-1 drew in their opener against Sharnbrook preceded a 2-0 defeat by winners Harvesters.
Sandy Reds then beat Kings 3-1 before a goalless draw with WGC Ladies to complete the tournament.
The club has also reacted strongly to rumours the club has folded.
Club secretary Chris Walker said: “This appears to be a deliberate and malicious attempt to disrupt our pre-season preparation and our recruiting of new players to the team. “I do not know who where or why these rumours have come from but they are totally untrue.
“I can categorically confirm Kings Langley Ladies FC will be competing in the 2014/15 league season and the Herts FA County Women’s Cup and we are actively welcoming new faces to the club to bolster the current playing squad.”
