Leverstock Green Cricket Club’s refurbished clubhouse will be officially opened by ex-England captain Mike Gatting next Friday (July 25).

The £200,000 refurbishment, which was started before Christmas, is the result of fund-raising, donations from club members, Leverstock Green Village Association, Dacorum Borough Council and others, as well as funding from the ECB.

Green will also welcome current England women’s team wicketkeeper Sarah Taylor on Monday to unveil a plaque paying tribute to all donors to Levy's clubhouse development fund.

This ceremony will help kick off ‘Cricket Week’ before the traditional President’s XI match is followed by four other games on consecutive afternoons at the Leverstock Green’s Bedmond Road ground.
