Watford will take on Conference South side Boreham Wood in a pre-season friendly at Meadow Park on Thursday evening.

The Hornets' first-team will feature against Ian Allinson’s side, who face Cambridge United tomorrow.

Thursday's match kicks off at 7.30pm. Tickets, which are only available on the night, for adults cost £12 while they are priced at £6 for concessions.

Boreham Wood chairman Danny Hunter said "I would just like to thank everyone connected at Watford for agreeing to play us once again.

"It's fantastic that they bring such a good squad to us and it feels like a reward for the improvements we've made with our facility.

"The official match confirmation is obviously later than normal but Watford, to their credit, needed to make sure on their availability and the strength of their squad, so I'm thrilled with this outcome."

He added: "All the Watford fans have been great to us over the years, in supporting this fixture and we truly look forward to then doing so again as this is a local fixture that makes our pre season complete."

Watford will then face St Albans City at Clarence Park on Saturday with that match kicking off at 3pm.
