Watford’s schoolboy striker Ogo Obi played 33 minutes for Manchester United Under-18s in their 1-0 pre-season friendly victory over Trafford FC last night.
It was confirmed last week that Obi was on trial with the Red Devils after the Hornets gave permission for the 16-year-old to train with the Premier League club.
The youngster was named amongst the United substitutes and was brought on in the 57th minute in place of Ruairi Croskery.
The Red Devils side secured a 1-0 win with Marcus Rashford scoring the only goal of the match.
Watford have been in talks with Obi for several months over a scholarship with a one-year professional contract attached but an agreement has yet to be reached.
Last summer he scored ten goals in five games during the Milk Cup Junior Section to win the competition's Golden Boot, which resulted in a couple of national newspapers claiming Arsenal and Liverpool were interested in the then 15-year-old.
