Head of medical Marco Cesarini says Daniel Tozser and Fernando Forestieri missed yesterday’s friendly draw with Udinese as a precaution while Sean Murray is expected to return to first-team training this week.

Forestieri has been absent since the Hornets’ first UK friendly against Shrewsbury Town where he suffered a cut to his Achilles.

Tozser was named on the substitute’s bench against Udinese but didn’t feature as he recovers from a stamp that forced him off during Wednesday’s friendly with Coventry City.

Murray suffered a dead leg against the Sky Blues but Cesarini said yesterday the midfielder was expected to return to training this week.

What a squad we now have!

How is Beppe going to keep everyone happy?

For instance it was great see Troy, Vydra, Fabbrini, Ranegie, and Igloo on the same pitch, but surely he cannot play them all against Bolton?

And this does not include Fessi and Murray!

An abundance of riches and just pray that Beppe knows how to get the best out of such a talented squad.

Great day out yesterday, superb crowd for a friendly basking in the sunshine, and so nearly a victory over the mighty Udinese if only Ranegie and Igloo got their act together in the last minute.

I saw a game yesterday where, the players looked unhappy, no apparent team spirit and a sense of no game plan. Best player for me was Igahlo followed by Fabbrini, best skill on display was by Fessi from the subs bench.. Sublime control and volley. The subs that came on changed the game, if the first half is our starting 11 I fear that we will struggle unless they gel very quickly. Sorry majority, I just don't see Saninno as the man for the job - but then who is? As man have already said on other threads - how do we keep the players happy?
Final note Lewis McGeagh sublime fee kick, but he is still about 5 seconds off the pace of the rest of the team.

Agree the embarrassment of riches could even be a problem. Remember Burnley and Leicester last year because they kept a settled winning formula arguably over achieved. My fear is to keep all these guys happy, squad rotation on large scale will be used.we should ship a few out. Troy looked like he wanted to be here, great news so let ranegie go who in his short cameo looked as ever sluggish and lazy. It was his sloppy losing of the ball that led to their second goal. Mcgugan showed again he is a class act and must play along with Abdi. Assuming toszer in the middle that leaves question of formation; who plays wide and in 3 or 5 . If we play 3 at back with tamas instead of Hoban or doyley see problems. This guy looks prone to crazy challenges and bad pass selection! Gomes looked solid and on this showing will be much better than almunia being more agile and better off his line. To be fair fabbrini made a good contribution when coming on and may have a job as impact sub like fernando I suspect. My 11 for Bolton would be Gomes: Hoban Ekstrand Angella; Anya Abdi Toszer McGugan Dyer; Deeney Vydra . Play to half their potential and should do well. Bring it on!

I popped into the salon before the match but the girl there said that you and and your fellow baldy Luton did a runner when you heard I was coming!

I was there you numpty, and supporting my club, unlike you!!

To prove it, I will bring my ticket along next week and ram it down your throat, especially if you still have that "I Love Bas" banner up at the salon!

Yes we've got a massive squad and some will def need to go on loan, esp if we make another early cup exit so have less games. But Forestieri will be in my league match day squad every time. With all the talent we had on display yesterday it's possible to forget what a player he is. He can receive the ball in tight spaces and still do something with it. Can light up a dull Championship game with just a few seconds of magic. We need him at his best this season. If he's given time on the pitch, playing just behind the front 2, and responds with what he's capable of, then we should be up there challenging top spot.

I like the above team but where is Pudil? I thought he was very consistent yesterday and we do need his defending skills!
Agree Pudil is one of the first on the team sheet for me.
Gomes, Ekstrand , Hoban, Angella, Anya, Pudil, Tazer, Abdi, Mcgugan, Deeney, Vydra. Fessi as impact sub, Andrews to shore up and help hold onto leads late in game. Plenty of opportunity to rotate, IN MODERATION!
Not sure Andrews can feature against his own club

Remember Burnley and Leicester last year because they kept a settled winning formula arguably over achieved. My fear is to keep all these guys happy, squad rotation on large scale will be used.we should ship a few out. Troy looked like he wanted to be here, great news so let ranegie go who in his short cameo looked as ever sluggish and lazy. It was his sloppy losing of the ball that led to their second goal.

As if you were at the game wurzel... You read up on it and then make ridiculous comments. If you do ever actually come to game pop in via the salon!

If you were a real fan you would have a season ticket like me .. As for the salon will always make time to wet shave your throat..

Anyone know why Lloyd Dyer was wearing no.11? That's Forestieri's shirt. Dyer should be 23. Just a bit weird that's all
