Hornets defender Essaid Belkalem has completed his one-year loan move to Turkish side Trabzonspor.

The centre-back had been expected to move to Turkey and joined up with Karadeniz Fırtınası for pre-season training this week.

We reported on July 26 that the 25-year-old was expected to join Trabzonspor and the club have today confirmed the deal.

The Algerian international was given extra time off by the Hornets after participating in the World Cup this summer and didn’t rejoin the Watford squad for pre-season.

The 25-year-old only made seven starts and three substitute appearances during his first season at Vicarage Road after he arrived on loan from Granada last summer. That deal was made permanent midway through last season.
