Hornets boss Beppe Sannino says he will use tonight’s Capital One Cup first round tie at Stevenage as an opportunity to rotate his side as those players who didn’t feature at the weekend “deserve” a chance.

Watford impressively defeated Bolton Wanderers 3-0 on Saturday and the likes of Tommie Hoban, Lloyd Doyley and Mathias Ranegie didn’t make it off the bench while Odion Ighalo and Diego Fabbrini weren’t even included in the match-day squad.

With such a strong pool of players to choose from this season, Sannino says it is important to make changes this evening at Broadhall Way.

He explained: “I will give the other players a chance because they deserve that. I believe there will be a few changes because Saturday’s game with Norwich is very close.

“I have a squad of players who I would like to put on the pitch.”

Sean Murray is available to return after injury while Keith Andrews could make his Hornets debut as he was ineligible at the weekend as the Bolton Wanderers loanee couldn’t face his parent club.

Change all 11 .... Should still be too strong for Stevenage . Give the other guys a chance to make a case to be in the squad for Saturday

Good opportunity for match fitness for those that didn't have a full pre season - Fernando and Murray both missed chunks of it, plus Ighalo arrived at the end of it.

If he's going to multirotate then rather tonight than Saturday. Allegedly, Eddie Howe is changing all eleven tonight at Exeter.

SHOULD!!! Be careful and when people are disrespectful to other sides they get beat. Let's hope that the players take it very seriously tonight. I'm sure they will, but nothing in football is certain. NEVER!!

Ok - Dyer played on Sat but this is a strong team and is leaving out 3/4 injuries... very pleasing!

Looked pretty fit to me apart from a bit of cramp in the last 10 minutes. Think I'd rest him, don't want him injured for Saturday (I think he could give the Canaries a bit of a shock!).

Looks a good team, but think that I'd put a bit more strength at the back and maybe give Angella the first 45mins and Eckstrand the second half. I'd also bring Fessi on for the last 30mins as he's not had much match practice recently and apart from his goal looked a bit rusty when he came on on Saturday. Really want to win this and get "The Scummers" at The Vic in the next round!

Agree, think he will only swap 6/7 (appreciate the irony of 'only' 6/7) but that team was just to show we could field a completely new starting 11 and it still be strong!

got my ticket to see them against Dirty Leeds... hopefully 2 league wins in and cup win tonight should see them full of confidence and in a clinical ruthless mood!
