Sun Postal Sports conceded four goals in a disastrous twenty minute spell as they lost 5-3 against AFC Dunstable at Creasey Park in their Spartan South Midlands Premier Division opener.
Despite James Armstrong’s astute volley giving the side a dream start on Saturday, Paul Hobbs’ men were dealt a harsh reality check of life in the Premier Division when they found themselves 4-1 down after only 28 minutes.
With no choice but to go all-out attack, Hobbs switched to a 3-4-4 formation and brought on forward Simon Fearon.
The move paid dividends when Fearon tore down the left and assisted for Steve Noonan to make it 4-2.
A comeback looked on the cards for Sun when Noonan beat his man to head in at the far post but it was Dunstable who scored the crucial next goal from the spot after substitute Brima Johnson handled the ball in the area.
