Callum Shinkwin finished in joint eighth place at the Vacon Open in Finland this weekend while Sam Little was further down the field and tied for 35th position.
Shinkwin’s performance over the four-day Challenge Tour event saw him card a score of 12 under par which was enough for a place in the top ten.
The 21-year-old was two strokes under par after his first round. On the second day, Shinkwin put in a superb round and took his total to nine under par.
Rounds of 70 and 69 followed which helped the Bushey golfer, who is a member at Moor Park Golf Club, seal eighth place and €4,193 in prize money.
Little was three under par after his opening two rounds. His scores remained solid over the weekend and the Croxley Green player carded 70 and 70 to end with a total of five under par.
That put Little in joint 35th place and he collected €1,190 in prize money.
