Watford-born fast bowler Steve Finn has been named in England’s 15-man one-day international squad to face India.
The 25-year-old, who is a former pupil at Parmiter’s School, has impressed during the county season with Middlesex and has recovered from the problems which plagued his game last winter.
Finn was deemed “unselectable” after struggling with his bowling action during England’s winter tour of Australia and was sent home.
However, he has recovered and has taken 44 wickets for Middlesex this season as well as agreeing a new three-year deal with the club which train at Radlett.
England squad: Cook (capt), Moeen Ali, Anderson, Ballance, Bell, Buttler (wkt), Finn, Gurney, Hales, Jordan, Morgan, Root, Stokes, Tredwell, Woakes.
