Watford winger Ikechi Anya has been called up to the Scotland squad to face world champions Germany next month.

The Scots take on Germany at the Signa Iduna Park, in Dortmund, on Sunday, September 7 in the opening Euro 2016 Group D qualifier. Kick-off is 7.45pm UK time.

Gordon Strachan has named a 26-man squad for the match at Borussia Dortmund’s ground and it also includes former Hornet and current Derby full back Craig Forsyth.

Anya has made six outings for Scotland since his debut against Belgium last September and he scored in his first start four days later; the 2-1 win over Macedonia.

The 26-year-old was born in Glasgow to a Nigerian father and Romanian mother and grew up in Scotland before moving to Oxford.
