Watford have no fresh injury concerns ahead of tonight’s League Cup tie against Doncaster Rovers while Craig Cathcart is back in training following a knee injury.

Cathcart suffered his injury during the Hornets' pre-season fixture at Shrewsbury Town on July 19.

He hasn't yet made his debut for the Golden Boys and, while he has returned to training, he isn’t fit enough to feature in tonight’s game at Vicarage Road.

Mathias Ranegie is available for selection after fully recovering from his groin problem but young strikers Bernard Mensah and Uche Ikpeazu will miss out as they are not fit following long-term injuries.

Joel Ekstrand is unavailable for selection as he serves the final match of his three-game ban following his red card against Norwich City.

I really hope that Tommie Hoban is not dropped in favour of Joel Ekstrand for the Championship match against Huddersfield on Saturday.

The lad has taken his chance and played brilliantly against Rotherham and Leeds

Yes it would not be right to give him the elbow.

I'd start the 'troublemakers' tonight and challenge them to play their way back into the 1st team squad.
Would like to see Murray and Smith get some game time too.

Agreed, TH has played really well. Also think it would be outrageous if FF was dropped for Vydra on Saturday after his performance against Leeds.

Like last season, we simply have too many players to keep happy and constant rotation will no doubt be a feature again...

I didn't see the game but unless Fessi edited the extended highlights himself that was one of the greatest individual performances I have ever seen at Watford. I hope Sannino gives some game time to those who have become fringe players.

What planet are you on ? Dyer did prove a point against Rotherham & still got dropped
The biggest trouble maker is a bald man who waves his arms a lot & can't be bothered to speak English

Thats right he proved he likes to air his personal problems with the coaching staff in public and not celebrate his goal or performance with either the players or the fans.

Dyer's biggest mistake was not letting his performance do the talking. By mouthing off to the bench he has shot himself in the foot. Just because he turned down a season in the Prem doesn't mean he can walk straight into the starting 11. Everyone needs to prove they should be there on tactical merit as well as professional merit - dyer failed with his professionalism!

Let's give Beppe some credit. Alex Ferguson the greatest manager these shores have ever seen would never have stood for a 'dyer esque' tantrum. Just look at the way he dealt with beckham, stamm - to name but a few - out the door and never to be seen again. You can't have individuals running amok no matter how good they are.

I used to think cup ties where a hindrance but with the size of our squad we can put out a 2nd team strong enough to win....happy days.
