Kings Langley will face Northwood in an FA Cup replay tomorrow evening after their preliminary round tie ended in a 1-1 draw on Saturday.

Kings made the worst possible start to the contest and fell behind in the third minute. Sam Byfield found too much space on the left and fired home for the Southern League side.

Northwood controlled the majority of the half and created further opportunities. However, Ant Ladyman in the Langley goal produced several fine saves.

Alex Campana was Kings’ main threat in the opening period and he come close on three occasions. Berkley Laurencin denied him however.

Kings were much improved after half time, although Ladyman still produced two further stops.

As Langley’s confidence grew, Mitchell Weiss came close as his strike went inches wide of the post.

And, with 15 minutes remaining, the visitors grabbed an equaliser.

Ollie Cox’s 20-yard strike hit the post and ended into the net to earn Kings another shot at reaching the first qualifying round.
