Gianni Munari has been ruled out of Oscar Garcia's first game in charge of Watford and Fernando Forestieri is a doubt for Saturday's trip to Charlton Athletic.
The Hornets will be without Munari after he went off with a hamstring injury in the last match against Huddersfield Town two weeks ago.
Fernando Forestieri also has a hamstring problem and is a doubt, whilst young strikers Bernard Mensah and Uche Ikpeazu are still recovering from long-term injuries.
Watford had ten players on international duty and Oscar confirmed some of them will not be fit enough to start.
He added: "We need to see how fit the players are, how they are playing and who the opposition are [when selecting the starting XI]. We need to consider all these things before picking our team."
There will be more from Oscar in the Watford Observer and on our website tomorrow.
