Watford played Exeter City in their fourth game at the new Vicarage Road Stadium.
Terrace hero and future manager Fred Pagnam scored the Brewers' first goal at the ground and went on to complete a hat-trick - the first of three he would score in the next five games before ending the season having scored more goals than the rest of the team put together.
