Hornets fans invited to Peter Barnes' funeral
Hornets fans are welcome to attend the funeral of former Watford player Peter Barnes who passed away on Tuesday, October 7.
The funeral will be held at Garston Crematorium on Thursday, October 23 at 1pm.
Barnes, who was 76 when he died, spent two years with the Hornets between 1960 and 1962.
Born in St Albans, the wing-half came through Watford’s youth team before playing as a part-time professional. He was also employed in the printing industry.
National service interrupted his progress but he had two spells in the first team and made ten Football League appearances for the club.
