Watford Ladies Under-15 Wasps were big winners at home to Bishop’s Stortford in the League Cup on Saturday, winning 14-2.
Sophia Citro led the way with a four-goal haul, whilst there were hat-tricks for Samantha Cottam and Mikhela Treon. Bronwen Lunniss (2), Becky Holmes and Alys Bardsley also got in on the act.
The Under-15 Harts were not so successful; going down 13-1 at Hitchin Belles. Louise Chick got the Watford consolation.
Penalties settled the tie between the Under-13 Harts and Bishop’s Stortford, with the Golden Girls emerging 3-2 winners on penalties following a 2-2 draw.
Lola Forsyth and Amy Ryan both scoring in the game, with Jess Gough, Molly Gough and Amy Ryan converting their penalty kicks.
Watford’s Under-13 Hornets were narrowly beaten at Tottenham Ladies in the same competition, Charli O’Connor bagging their goal in a 2-1 loss.
Millie Tugby and Emily Rollinger each hit four as the Under-11 Harts recorded a comfortable win over St Albans City Youth North. There was also a brace for Keshini Emmanuel and further efforts from Carys Harvey and Emlia Barton completing the scoring.
There was a big win for the Under-11 Hornets too, with Jessica Cripps and Bliss Murray both notching braces. Casey Evans and Kayra Karakus also netted.
