Saturday’s match between Middlesbrough and Watford was a contest which included a few very poor performances from Hornets players but also some good ones. So who was your pick of the bunch at the Riverside Stadium?
Whilst Juan Carlos Paredes and Daniel Pudil had torrid first halves, Ikechi Anya provided attacking impetus through the middle, and then wide left, and helped create his team’s only goal.
That was converted by captain Troy Deeney and it is no coincidence the Hornets’ revival coincided with his arrival.
But Boro could have been two or three goals to the good by that point had it not been for the saves of goalkeeper Jonathan Bond in the first half.
Daniel Tozser was another who performed well against Middlesbrough but who was your standout performer?
