Watford Under-18s were left to count the cost of missed chances after they suffered successive defeats to Peterborough United on Saturday.
After Posh had taken a first-half lead, Charlie Rowan equalised midway through the second period with his first goal of the season following some good work by Il Myeong Choi. But the Hornets were to be level for only three minutes as the hosts went on to secure a 2-1 win following their 1-0 victory at London Colney last week.
Head of coaching Barry Quin told the club's website: "Overall, I'm very disappointed with the result. I didn't think we did enough to win the game, but we certainly shouldn't have lost it.
"We had a great shout for a penalty turned down and we created a lot of chances, but we didn't take them, so perhaps a draw would've been a fair result."
