Garston Ladies could not capitalise on leading by two goals twice as they were knocked out of the Herts County Cup by Leverstock Green Ladies in a 4-3 defeat on Sunday.

Emma Trill and Vicki Duffy put Garston seemingly in command, but their opponents pulled one back before the interval. Lucy Zecchin again opened up a two-goal cushion after the restart, only for Green to turn the tie on its head.

The Under-16s lost their top-of-the-table clash at Woburn Lionesses 3-0, while the Under-15s were beaten 3-2 in an end-to-end match at Hormead Hares following goals from Charli Dormer and Ellie Fitzgibbons.

There were better fortunes for Garston’s Under-13 Diamonds, who produced their best display of the season so far to beat Kings Langley 4-0 through an Amira Quraishy hat-trick and a Rheia Caton strike.

The Under-12 Mets put six without reply past Bishops Stortford to advance to the next round of the Herts County Cup.

Issie Smith and Paige Andrews, including one sublime chip, netted two apiece, with Claudia Bulow and Sharday Constable completing the comfortable win.

There was disappointment for the Under-12 Diamonds as they lost 5-0 against St Albans City.

Darci Harewood netted for the Under-11 Mets whilst Darcey Bash, Reut Regev, Elsie Lever and Lily-May Webster scored for the Under-11 Diamonds.
