The Watford Observer understands Serbian defender Vujadin Savic has joined the Hornets on a short-term contract.

Savic, who was released by Bordeaux last summer, played an hour for Watford’s Under-21 side last week and had been training with the club.

The 24-year-old had stopped training with the Golden Boys but we understand he is set to join on a short-term contract.

Savic started his career at Red Star Belgrade but joined Bordeaux in 2010. He spent four years with the club but made just 11 first-team appearances before leaving the French side in the summer.
