WSFL Intermediate Cup Quarter-Finals

Croxley reached their first semi-final in eight years by overcoming RD FC 3-2 in a topsy-turvy affair.

Jake Levy put Croxley ahead against the run of play before Joe Mistretta levelled from close range and added a second soon after. Croxley won the tie in extra-time with a superb diving header from Olly Brooks.

Fourth in Division One, Old Fullerians reached the semi-finals with a convincing 4-1 win over Chorleywood Club.

Goals from Joe Rylett (2), Charlie Hailey and Sam Parker did the damage, cancelling out Michael East’s effort for Chorleywood.

Green Dragon also excelled with a fine 5-2 away win against second-placed Division One outfit Rickmansworth Rovers.

Luke O’Malley scored twice and there was one each for Martin Stevens, Keifer Shuttleworth and Craig Parratt. Dean Mallett and Harry Wallace netted Ricky’s goals.

Division One Table-toppers Reed Rangers showed no mercy as they crushed bottom side Cassiobury Rangers 10-1.

There was a hat-trick for Dom David, whilst Jamie Spear (2), Dean Hammill, Adam Crassweller, George Hobson, Adam Lawrence and Elliot Kay-Jessop also found the back of the net. Russell Kent scored Cassiobury’s consolation.

Tudor Arms suffered just their second league defeat of the season, going down to a crushing 6-3 loss against Nascot Arms.

Jamie Greison and Dean Collins each scored twice, with Scott Monroe and Joe Manfredini nabbing a goal apiece.

Division Two Met Police (Bushey) maintained their interest in the title chase with a 4-3 away win at Colne Valley.

Currently sat in third position with two games in hand and seven points shy of leaders Amici. Second-placed Oxhey Lions trail the leaders by four points with two games in hand.

Robert Gradwell scored twice, whilst Richard Taylor and Dan Branch were also on target.

Met had been leading 1-0 at half time before a deluge of goals in the second half.

Colne Valley scored via Tom Seamons (2) and Shaun Moody.

Terry Devereux WSFL President’s Cup Group B

Rifle Volunteer beat Gadeside Rangers 4-0 away from home.

The goals came from Myles Hall (2), Adam Doe and Wayne Jackson.

In a closely-fought game, Mill End Sports and St Josephs drew 2-2.

Jordan Robinson added to an own goal for Mill End. Sean Sonner and Joe Kelly replied for Joes.

WSFL Invitation Cup Group A

The lowest-ranking team left in the competition, Garston United, could not hold onto a half-time lead as they lost 6-2 to Oxhey Lions.

P.Onuegbunweze (2), Trafford Nolan, Ryan King, Gavin Shepherd and Ben Woodman were on target for the merciless Lions.

WSFL Invitation Cup Group B

Division Two’s Rickmansworth Athletic won 4-2 against Division Three pace-setters West Watford.

The Ricky scorers were Nicky Thomas (2), Jay Randerson and Scott Reeves.

West Herts Reserves beat Hertsmere (Sunday) 2-0 in a routine victory.

Roger Lake and Anthony Gilbert were the Stags marksmen.

WSFL Invitation Cup Group C

Amici, currently perched atop Division Two, made light work of Division Four Bell Rangers to win 5-1.

Leading 1-0 at half time, strikes from Chris Coleman (3) and Craig Gorrie (2) made sure of a comfortable morning’s work.

The Swan enjoyed a good away win at Sun Postal United, triumphing 3-0.

Danny Brennan notched a double whilst Umberto Urgo was also on target.
