Kings Langley Ladies boss Chris Walker has issued an urgent appeal for new players in order to complete the club’s remaining seven league fixtures.

Walker was again unable to field a team against AFC Kempston on Sunday, despite Kings’ recent cup heroics.

“We need players and new players as a matter of urgency as we do have a league programme to complete,” Walker said. “I cannot understand why this is happening. The organisation at the club is sound, match and training facilities have been found, playing kit and training equipment is also provided.

“I want the players at this club to enjoy their football, but if you are a player, you need to have commitment.”

Players aged 16 and over and of any ability and experience are welcome. Training is on Thursday evenings between 8-9pm at Bovingdon Primary Academy, High Street, Bovingdon, HP3 0HL. You can contact Walker on 07833 603472 or email chrisw@kllfc.co.uk.

The Under-14s went three points clear at the top of Division Two of the Hertfordshire Girls Football Partnership League with a convincing 7-1 win at St Albans City Youth North.
