West Herts ladies drew 3-3 in their top-of-the-table clash at Cambridge City in the East Premier on Sunday.

The Stags got off to an ideal start through Anna Coppel’s early effort but the lead did not last long. Cambridge went in front before Rachel Twine slotted home the equaliser.

City regained the lead in the second half but West Herts salvaged a draw when Coppel converted her second goal of the game.

West Herts had edged to a 3-2 home win over Broxbourne the previous day.

Anna McGlaughlin broke the deadlock after 12 minutes but Broxbourne levelled against the run of play.

A solo run from the visitors enabled them to take the lead for the first time but Becky Perry made the score 2-2.

But with four minutes remaining Coppel managed to find a way past the keeper for the crucial winner for her side.

West Herts men’s Seconds lost 4-3 at Broxbourne in Division Two South on Saturday.

Skipper Matt Corbridge fired the visitors in front before three goals from Broxbourne turned the match around. Steve George pulled one back after the break before a fourth goal from the hosts.

Corbridge was dismissed for dissent before a neat finish from Luke Frey.

But the Stags responded by battling to a 2-1 win at Harpenden on Sunday.

A neatly-taken goal from Frey was the difference between the sides at the break. Morne Hoffman doubled their lead with a low shot before a late Harpenden goal set up a tense finish.

The men’s Third team stayed top of Division Three South West after a 3-0 win over Welwyn Garden City.

Patrick Spargo, Richard Ambrose and Paul Macioca completed the scoring for the victors.

A hat-trick from Myles Mundy fired West Herts Fourths to a 3-2 win at Welwyn Seconds in Division Five South West.

The Fifths defeated St Albans Sevenths 3-2 in Division Six South West before crashing to a 7-2 defeat against Rickmansworth Seconds the following day.

West Herts Sixths lost 2-1 to Royston Fourths in Division Eight South West.

The Sevenths won 2-1 at Welwyn Fourths in Division Nine South West before a victory by the same scoreline against Shefford & Sandy Fourths.

West Herts ladies Seconds won 1-0 at Tring in Five Counties Premier while the Thirds defeated Blueharts Seconds 2-1 in Division One.

The ladies Fourths drew 0-0 with St Albans Boadiceas and there was a 2-0 victory for the Fifths at Berkhamsted & Hemel Thirds in Division Five.

The Under-14s girls earned a 3-1 victory to complete the double over Amersham & Chalfont this season.

Despite falling behind, goals from Gabriella Holland (2) and Charlotte Snooks turned the contest around.

The boys Under-16s secured a 4-1 victory against Gerrards Cross to consolidate second place.

Ashley Patel tapped in on the goal-line before a brace from Tom Wattes after the break. Haaris Malik completed the scoring for the victors.
